Moe's Original BBQ in Daphne

If you're looking for real, southern style BBQ in the Daphne area, you can't do any better than Moe's Original BBQ Restaurant. With a host of southern specialties on the menu prepared to perfection, this is a dining experience you don't want to pass up when you're in Daphne. Head to Moe's to watch the big game or just to grab a quick afternoon bite while you're wandering around town. Either way, you'll be really glad you stopped by.

They take their BBQ pretty seriously in Alabama, and the food at Moe's is no exception. Pulled pork, had wood smoked chicken and full racks of ribs headline a menu that's packed with traditional 'Bama favorites. Other delectable offerings include macaroni and cheese, chicken wings, catfish, baked beans, banana puddin' and marinated slaw. You'll also get a choice of at least eight different sauces to compliment your ribs.

The atmosphere at Moe's is laid back but friendly, with a helpful and pleasant staff. Service is prompt, and prices are very reasonable, especially when you take into account the portions. Most items on the menu are under $10, and even a large platter of ribs, which comes with cornbread, 2 side dishes and a drink, will only run you about $13. There's no holding back at Moe's and you're pretty much guaranteed no to leave hungry. Of course, there's not a huge range of selections on the menu, but you don't go to a BBQ place for soup and a salad. Moe's knows BBQ and they do it to perfection every time.

As if good food and service wasn't enough, Moe's also offers live music and karaoke several times a week each. Check out their calendar of events to see what shows are upcoming that you may want to catch when you're in town. The musicians who play at Moe's are some up and coming local bands as well as seasoned veterans of the touring circuit and some very well-known national bands as well.
Recent performers include The Ted Scallan Band, Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, and the Ray Cashman Band. Jazz and Blues are the predominant genres, but there are some exceptions to the rule. No matter what kind of music they're playing, though, the performers are real professionals and the music really adds to the overall experience of eating at Moe's. Moe's isn't a big place and it can get pretty crowded at mealtimes, so if you have some flexibility in your schedule, you may want to hit them at an off hour. Whenever you go, though, be sure to bring your appetite. You want to be able to pack in as much of that good food as you can, although you can always take the rest home for later too.
